1) Description
Edmodo is a safe social media site almost. It allows teacher and students to connect, collaborate, share content, access homework, grades, and get school notices. It is almost like Facebook, but it is a safe, controlled environment for school. Edmodo allows teachers to create a safe group for the students.
There are many things that can done with Edmodo. The teaher can upload digital resource for students to access or download. This make learning possible outside of the classroom. The teacher can upload something to help the students review what they learned for the day. It also allows the students to do better on homework because they can review the lesson or examples. Not only can the teacher upload videos but they can also summarize the lesson for students and post examples. By doing this the students who were not in class that day have a smaller chance of falling behind. The teacher could even have the students summarize the lesson for them. It allows teachers to create polls to give feedback or for a lesson. By using a poll online the students will put what their true opinion is because other students will not be able to tell what they picked. The students will feel safer sharing their opinions. One big thing that makes Edmodo so helpful is teachers can post homework information. Homework is so easy for students to forget because there is so much going on throughout their day, but the teacher can post the homework and the students will be able to check if they forgot what it was.
Social networking is a fear for teachers because they are not supposed to have students as friends. They do not want information on their students to get leaked. Edmodo is a group that is managed by the teacher though and the students need a code to join. Without the code no one can join the group. The code can be changed if someone else finds it out. It also does not have private messaging options so everything said can be seen by everyone. The communication can only be done with the whole class. This allows teachers to avoid getting in trouble because nothing they say is hidden. Another advantage is no one can post anonymously which means every post has a face to it. Teacher are also allowed to delete posts and update if something is incorrect. The use of the site is free. The school does not have to pay for anything, even upgrades. The last and I think most important advantage is parents can have access to the page. They can see their child’s posts and the teacher's posts as well. This allows the parents to stay involved in their student's learning and they will be able to stay updated with what is going on in the class. The parents also will always know what their child has for homework, because we all know children always try to pull the “I don’t have any homework” card.

3) Possible uses in the classroom including grade level relevancy, evaluation of the ease and probability of use
There are so many way a teacher can use Edmodo in the classroom. They can create polls online, communicate with students, share homework, share links and many other things to help improve students learning. After exploring this website, I think it is definitely user friendly. It is free and it follows the idea of Facebook which makes navigating the site easy. It is managed by the teacher but students have the ability to share their ideas as well. It allows for communication outside of the classroom. When students are stuck on homework they have access to help from the teacher and their classmates.
4) Possible uses with diverse learners
Teachers can create smaller groups inside the classroom that are specific to students' skills and abilities. One group can have material that is new to challenge them. Another group can have resources to help them meet the skills they need to learn.
